Continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) pattern appears to be increasing with the passage of time. This type of exam pattern has been introduced by CBSE (central Board of Secondary Education) for class X students so as to reduce their study pressure and examination phobia. The pattern is likely to work wonder and as such, the rise of students this year is more than 30 per cent as compared to 2011.
According to CCE, the CBSE board exam had been divided into assignments and both the schools and board judge the progress of the student mutually. Students are availed with the flexibility to choose any mode to accomplish the assignments for the final examination.
Sources confirmed that approximately 6,000 candidates appeared for CBSE class X examinations in 2010-11. More or less 1,000 went for the traditional board examination system while good number of students opted for home-based examination. Likewise, this 2012, around 6,500 students will give class X exam, of which over 6,000 has confirmed for home examinations. Therefore, the entire scenario indicates that the modes of examinations are going through remarkable change for the well-being of millions of students across India.
